This number has called me numerous times a day every day. Never leaves a message. I finally had enough and blocked their number.
Yesterday, I gave a donation of $15.00 from this number and foolishly a credit card no. Is this a legimate request from this Number.
These folks are calling me every day now on behalf of the humane society. I donated regularly in the past but am not able to do that now. I wish it wasn't that way, but I don't have a choice right now. I'll donate again, but I will contact them when I'm ready / able again. Until then, I want to be left alone. Hounding me like one of those debt collectors does isn't appropriate.I have told these people that I do not wish to be contacted by phone. I have said it nicely many times, and occasionally, I've said it not so nicely. It doesn't matter - at best they leave me alone for a couple of months then they start in again. I don't mean let me cool off then go back at it. I mean LEAVE ME ALONE and I will call YOU when I am ready to give again! Am I speaking in French? What part of "leave me alone - don't call" are you not understanding???!!!!!!!!Phone Harrassment isn't very becoming on anyone, and most certainly isn't appropriate for a non-profit. When I say "don't call me - I will reinitiate contact when I'm able to donate again" I mean it. I'm sure your cause is just and donations are down...nothing I can do about that right now. When I do start giving again, I think the organizations that have respected my wishes about not being called for a while are teh ones that will be the first in line to receive donations from me. In the meantime, I'm putting this number in the block list on my phone, and the letters are going in the "circular file".
I agree with angry former generous donor. In fact, I never intend to donate again to any org. that calls me on the phone. When I am inspired to donate to anyone it is always to an individual or group that is already well known to me. I have enough to contend with in my old age without looking to see who's calling every few minutes, or wondering if someone is trying to steal my identity. If these calls are from real charities (by which I mean the kind that actually uses donations for the stated purpose) these people are cutting off their noses to spite to spite their face. Frankly, I hope it causes them to bleed to death!
These freakin' idjuts just don't get it. They just keep calling........every day......several times. If it doesn't stop soon I will research the number further, get an address and pay them a visit that at least one of them will never forget and always regret.
They called again and again and again. Ho hum. It's just a constant reminder NEVER TO DONATE TO ANY HUMANE SOCIETY EVER AGAIN. And, they've done it to themselves with their harassment calling. But, that said, I'm ready to kill someone over these calls.
My mother was a very generous donor to the humane society before her passing. They have called every day for 3 weeks. I tell them my mother has passed away and please remove her from their calling list. Apparently my request meant to them "Please call 4 or 5 times a day everyday." How do I stop this? Blow a whistle in the phone every time they call?
They call me everyday. I used to donate to Humane Society, but can't afford to do so anymore. I never gave them my phone # or permission to call me.
Every SINGLE day i get 4 to 6 calls from this number, I will never donate to HSUS again if this is what they do with information
These people are relentless! I used to give monthly, but I can't afford it right now. I told them to call me back in six months to see if my financial situation had changed by then. In the meantime, I checked out charitynavigator.org. The Humane Society of the United States has a five-star rating. HOWEVER, the phone number listed on charitynavigator.org is an entirely different phone number in Washington D.C. I don't know who is calling from the 661 area code, but I'm sure glad I didn't give them my credit card number!
