It's been two weeks with calls at all hours of the day and midnight. I pick up and it is silent and then hangs up. No voice on the other end. I called back and it says its a skype number. I had to turn my phone on silent last night because I got about 15 calls at midnight.
All these responses are partially [***]. When I missed a call from this number, I started looking up in the internet and found this forum. After reading the comments here, I was really scared. Later, I found I had a missed call in Skype at the same time from my friend. What actually had happened was that I had a call forwarding from Skype to my mobile. My mobile's caller ID showed this number (Skype's generic number). So basically, whenever someone who does not have specific Skype number calls you (on Skype and if Skype forwards this call) or directly to your mobile number, you will see this kind of generic numbers for Skype. I agree scammers can use Skype but even genuine calls from your family and friends will show this kind of numbers depending most probably on the callers' location.
Received a call at work from this number, ID indicated 'creativewld'. Indian caller asked to speak to the person in charge of ordering office supplies. I told him I was that person and I wasn't interested in speaking with him any further and I hung up.
Yup....got this one on my cell just now. This is why I have ceased answering calls from any number that is not in my contact list.If they don't leave a message, I block them.
I'm getting frequent calls from this number and 661-748-0240 - both indicating a Skype caller. Never leaves a message.
Has anyone had a vehicle repossessed or stolen after receiving these calls? Its a bad repo company that tricks dealers into picking up their vehicles only to hold them for ransom. You may want to take everything out of your car now. you won't be getting any of your things back.
My BF is stationed overseas, he uses skype to call me and this is the number that shows on my caller ID.
