Call received on my cell phone, an obvious solicitation from North Dakota. It's been reported that this was a scam, so I did not answer the phone, especially since I have a limited amount of time and this unsolicited call would have burned through them.

"Hello this is Rachel at card Holder services calling in reference to your current credit card account. There are no problems currently with your account. It is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rates to as little as 6.9%. Your eligibility expires shortly so please consider this your final notice. Please press nine on your phone now to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rates. Thank you" Pick up at your own risk!

called at 6PM 08-11-11. Did not answer. They are still out there harassing.

My sister got a call from this number, and I got the one from an Orlando-based number... both saying the same thing- BoA card deactivated, press 1. I think these scammers must have several numbers they're calling from. Both of us got these calls in the middle of the night last night. We're both still on the same phone plan. So that tells me this isn't random automated calling; they got a list from somewhere. I'll be damned if AT&T has leaked out phone numbers- but I don't know how else we would have both gotten the same call last night. AT&T is the only common denominator between our cell numbers that I can think of.Out of curiosity, who else getting these calls has AT&T service?

Get an answering machine and let it screen your calls. NEVER pick up the phone yourself. It's cheaper than caller id and works almost as well.

Called my cell, left no message.

Last night, I received an automated phone message on my cell phone. I am on the do not call list, by the way. It said that my credit card (may have said VISA or MASTERCARD) account had been blocked, and to enter "2" to continue. I suspected a fraud and hung up. I thank whoever has this webpage, because it is very helpful to know that others have had similar experiences. I will notify the US Attorney's office.

What LEGITIMATE company do you know that would speak to anyone like this?

Automated call that stated I needed to update my Bank of America account. I do not have a Bank of America account
