Just got a call on my cell phone saying my Master Card had been deactivated, press 1 to reactivate. I pressed 1 and it asked for me to put in my 16 digit account number. I HUNG UP immediately! Do not fall for this!
just got a call from the same number. didn't answer. the message left began somewhere into it, but had to do with the upcoming Canadian election! basically party bashing ! It ended with : for more information visit andrewgill.ca. I'll visit that sight and ask why he's using this American call centre to make these calls!!
This call came in on my cell phone, which really ticks me off. I called it back. The first time it rang over and over. I called right back and it said "Thank you for calling back. If you do not wish to receive calls about our promotional products, please press 1 to be put on our Do Not Call list" So I pressed "1". we'll see what happens. I still have no idea who it was.
Got a call from this #, said they had locked my Wells Fargo Card, to press "1" to reactivate. I don't have a wells fargo card. Obvious scam. I just hung up.
