Got a missed call on my cell phone. I called back - recorded message. I hung up. Definately a solicating call. Said to push 1 on phone if I wanted to be removed from their call list. I don't know how they got my cell number. I don't answer if I don't recognize area code or number. Don't know what they wanted and frankly don't care. Just a pain to be bothered.
Got the call at 12:30 a.m. saying a cc and giving last four digits was being canceled for inactivity and to press 1 for security. Call then dropped.
I got a call from this number yesterdays. Said they were from Windows Technical Support, which I had tried to get ahold of, and said they were in Los Angeles. The person on the other end was a foreigner and I couldn't understand him at all. Asked to talk to an American. Switched me to another person who said they were the supervisor and their accent was even worse. Said I wanted to talk to an American so I could understand what they were saying. Finally, got a girl on line. She said my computer was in danger of crashing. That I needed to pay $295 to protect my computer for life. Told her to forget it - and she told me "Good. I hope your computer crashes!!" and hung up. Had to be a scam!!
These ship-heads have been calling, trying to get credit card information. They even tried my daughter's cell. I have filed a complaint with the attorney general to get these ash-holes. The only credit they will have is prison commissary credit between rapes by the prison gangs.
my cell phone (area code 917, NYC) just got a call from them. Caller ID "name" said "reset". (yes, my cellphone shows CNID Names). Robot caller claiming to be HSBC securit, "press one" to fix or maybe it was unlock the card. I pressed it to see if I'd get a person... got a continued recording asking me to punch in my account number... I hung up.
I got a call at 1:00 am this morning. Caller ID said "RESET". It was an automated machine telling me to push number three on the dial pad to connect me with "fraud" department, as our card had been compromised and will be blocked. I hung up and called my son(who I knew was up) and he did research on this told me it was a scam. Their number did come up with the word reset.
I got a call from 701-509-8703 at 5:09 MDT 8/5/2011 saying my debit card has been deactivated to press 1 for instructions, after pressing 1 another message asks to enter your 16 digit debit card, where I promptly hung up.
