Received a computer generated call on my cell phone supposedly from a local credit union saying my debit card is locked and asked me to press 1.

Got a call this morning around 8 a.m. & one yesterday around 4:45 p.m. I never answer any number I don't know. Thanks for all the info from everyone on this site.

A call from 701-509-8703 rang to my cell. I didn't answer it and it didn't leave a message. Googled the number and discovered a number of websites warning about calls from this number.

I received a call from this number today. It worries me that it could be a scam as I recently had to shut down my debit card due to fraudulent activity. I made an online purchase yesterday from a company called farfetch.com. Could there be a connection? Has anyone else visited that website or made an online purchase?

701-509-8703Same. Obvious phishing attempt, called at 0100AM. Claimed master card account was locked and press 3 then asked to input credit card number. I opted to call my master card company instead who said the account was fine.

Received a call from this number claiming my Debit card was deactivated and I needed to phone in to get it reset. As the phone call came in we were using our Debit Card and it is just fine. TOTAL SCAM!!! DO not press any numbers. SCAMMER!!!

They called me today 7-20-2011 saying they were from Wells Fargo for my debit card. If i hadn't seen this before the second call i would have went ahead with it...though I never use my debit card.
