Got a call at 5:54 pm from this number. It was the "US Grants Department." I am amazingly able to get over $7,000 that I don't have to pay back and the money can't be used for illegal purposes. But, after I "qualified" because she knew my name and phone number, I was given the number 209-436-9648 to call to claim my grant. Apparently, if I want the money I have to call someone else and give them a Confirmation Number.

caller ID said it was from Siemens. I believe same person has called on a different number with the same pitch that my computer has problems. I told him that I did not believe him because Microsoft doesn't have my phone number and that I didn't own a computer. I hope this new excuse of not owing a computer will stop him calling using yet another number.

Foreign idiots wanting ALL your information about your computer, saying they help with Microsoft Windows. I told them I don't own a computer and they keep wailing away. Do Not Call List is the worst invention this government has imploded on people. It is worthless.

This number called me at 6:15 AM today. No message left. I checked the number and it is a "spoof" number that is disconnected. Internet calling services like SKYPE or others, you can put any "spoof" number as your number when calling and that will be the number the person getting the call the will see.Some banks and other financial institutions have telecom systems that will not read the caller's ID but grab the sub code telecommunications identifier to unmask spoof numbers and see the actual calling number. Your public phone will not do that. Some telecom services like AT&T will have a special 2 digit number with the # sign before it like #73 that will trap the last actual calling number and say it back to you.The bottom line with this specific number of 703-272-4699, the caller is spoofing their number so don't answer and just block the number if you get a call from it. Or if your in a humorous mode, answer saying: "Sargent Harley, Internet fraud investigation team, may I help you?" and see how fast the caller hangs up. (they will put you on their do not call list then :)

Well reading all the responses make this fun. It was a woman with a thick heavy accent telling me my credit card (and I don't have a single one) was stolen and I needed to verify my card and ssn. I said good try, I don't have a CC, and no one calls me and gets my SSN, nice scam...she hung up on me.

SCAM...SCAM..SCAM....CALLS FROM A CALL CENTER....JUST BLOCK THE NUMBER AND AVOID THE UNNEEDED FRUSTRATION.

received a call saying they we're calling from sw airlines for the opening of their new offices in orange cai said i was not interested and she yelled "thank you for waisting y time" the nerve! she called me. the woman with the indian accent who i could barely understand.and whats up with the 'do not call" service?
