Got 2 calls from this number saying it was an inmate at "Ironwood correctional facility in California" even though the caller ID shows Houston Texas. There was a brief recording where the inmate stated his name but I don't recall what it was....no one I remember knowing.

I got a call on my cellphone after 9PM, and answered it without looking to see who was calling. I heard a message saying this was a collect call from an inmate in a correctional facility somewhere in California. Since I do not know anyone in California to the best of my knowledge, I immediately hung up. Now I see that this is a Houston, Texas, number and it seems to be a telecommunications outfit for people in prison. I hope this is a wrong number. I have 2 estranged sons that I hope to hear from someday, and I really do not know where they are, so this has disturbed me greatly.

This is a call coming from a state prison that uses Global Tel Link phone service. Know anyone in prison? If not it was probably a wrong number.

I got a call from them yesterday saying an inmate from a Texas prison wanted to talk to me. I hung up because neither do I know any one in prison or in Texas.

One of the Corcoran prisons is known as SATF (Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. Requires pressing 5 to accept the call or hang up to decline.

I got 7 calls from this number in a row today saying it was a prison, I think it is a scam, I don't know anyone in prison...So annoying...the number was 713-568-6986...It also said press 5 to accept

Got a call from them on 7/19/2014 at 9:26 AM. My phone was off so it went straight to voice mail. All I got on the voice mail was a recording saying that if I wanted to accept the call press a certain number or if I didn't want to accept it to hang up or press another number. I have no clue who they are and for sure, I didn't call back!

i keep getting these phone calls from 713-568-6986 that some of you identify as coming from TX state prison. I know no one in TX furthermore a prison. I live in LA. they are not leaving messages waiting for me to answer apparently. Shouldn't the authorities look into this by now if this has been going on since 2013?

It also advised me to press 5 to accept the call. I did not pick up. then I received a phone call 10 minutes later from 800-483-8314. I don't have a facebook to keep privacy. However the only way they could have gotten my number would be via resumes for job postings in Craigslist. i don't know if inmates are allowed to use computers...

I got the same call today... I'm considering calling back to figure it out
