its not a scam its the only way the inmates can call it is like a collect call but you set it up because you can't get collect calls on a cell phone. I didnt recognise the number so I didn't answer it might be an old friend trying minexwasn't collect but I didn't know. Sometimes they get free calls

Got this call on my cell with the CID showing "Texas". Less than two hours later I get one from (800) 483-8314 with a CID of "United States". They both may be calls from prisons from the posts on the 800notes site. I did not answer either call. The call from the 800 number left a pre-recorded message saying to call 1-877-650-4249 "to arrange for billing". Guessing these are collect calls from a prison
My call was from an inmate at Pelican Bay State Prison. Just hang up and block the number do not push any buttons!!!
Got the same as a wake up call. Wondered if it was a scam and hung up. If I knew some one in prison, it would be some one wanting some thing. I'll pass!
I have bern getting calls from this number 3-4 times per day. It claims I'm getting a collect call from dale in chino penitentary in Cali. I know that I don't know anyone in cali. It then asks me to dial a number and put more minutes on my phone.
