I keep getting calls from this number every month, several times per month. No message is ever left and they are calling my cell number.
Scam. The phone rang 3x after 9pm. Do NOT fall for this scam!!!! How do they get my number anyway!!!
How about you throw away the card and date someone that is not in jail? Just a thought.....
This number is global tel link but this particular number only shows up on your phone when an inmate calls you. Global tel link is the collect computerized system for inmates to call you this system is around the country this number can only appear on your phone if someone in jail calls you.
Got no less then 4 calls from this number on Friday, december 23, 2011 The caller ID says Gobal Tel Link. Phone company told me that it is from an incarserated person .No way would I even considering taking call !!!
I received a call last night and no message but my call tracked this number 713.981.0098. The very next morning, I received another call and it said "unknown number" and said someone from GlobelTel Correctional Facility is trying to reach you. I don't know anyone that would have my number and be in any correctional facility. I think someone must be selling phone numbers or something. Gives me the creeps.
I have received a call from this number (713-981-0098) about 6 times already today. Since none of my family are in jail, I don't know anyone in jail, and I refuse to pay for ANY collect calls, I have hung up. The male caller said it was a "Family Emergency" and calling from the Pitchess Detention Center. That is in Los Angeles County. I agree with many of the posts already listed: IT'S A SCAM for your credit card info.
