Actually u may have been scamed by an inmate calling from this number but for most of us who get calls from this number its a person we know calling from prison or a county jail. A person i know and keep in touch with on a daily basis is in prison and calls me from this number. so smarter than you keep false info to yourself please!
Got a call from this number asking me if, I'd accept a collect call from a prison inmate I hung up immediately
Come on people! Its not a scam and quit bitching. If you get a call from this number and its not from someone you know its a classic case of the wrong #!!!!!!!! Just hang up! This # is used by inmates all over the country trying to get in touch with their friends and family thats all, no big mystery.
I keep getting calls up to three times a day from this phone number. I answered it once and it said it was a collect phone call from a jail, but the number said it was from Texas.
This is a jail system # not a scam. The only reason I know is because my boyfriend calls me every other day from it. I was very cautious at first because I was not sure especially since it's from a Houston area code and that's about 5 hours away.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.
