Redone computer and this is what I go too and had to do to get things going again on hot mail
This is Microsoft providing a security code to confirm changes on a Microsoft Online account, such as outlook.com email. The number they call is the number that was used when creating the account. In theory, everyone would keep their phone numbers forever, but in reality they do not. Years after creating the Microsoft account, someone tries to change the security settings for their account and someone else, whoever has their phone now, gets the verification call.
you got the wrong number dont call me again
I received an email that someone was trying to get into my Microsoft account and ask that I go my account and called the security alert number and then I received phone call from Jose B. with code to enter into my account. Doesn't sound like this a Microsoft alert to me, it is a scam to get into my account. The email said it was from Microsoft - the call contact should have Microsoft's credentials and Jose B.
I got the alert through my computer on PC settings a couple of days ago. I finally went to the Microsoft site, and changed my password. However, they did know my old password as I tried to just change it back. I am hopeful that it is legit.
This number, (714) 868-0120 is the Yahoo Email verification line calling to provide the 5 digit code needed to sign in. Just an extra verification step to ensure your account is safe.
I have received several phone messages and texts from this number and don't know why.
This information please no who? and for what purposes contact?
It may be a legit number. But nobody in our household has requested a security code to be sent. So, if nobody makes the request, how are they able to call us and send a code we didn't ask for?
