Called several times everyday! Very annoying. Do not call has no effect on them. What a shame!
I called the CEO's direct phone and he answered, took my number, and removed me from his call list - he was very courteous and professional - took less than a minute.Kurt Heitmann GCS President and CEO Direct Phone: 619-251-3323
A CALL AT LEAST ONCE A DAY FOR WEEKS NOW,I PICK UP THEY HANG UP. I CALLED BACK MANY TIMES AND FINALLY GUY SPOKE A MOMENT TO SAY HE WILL SELL ME ANYTHING I DONT HAVE BUT WOULDNT SAY WHAT THEN HE HUNG UP ON ME I THEN CALLED HIM BACK OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.....COMCAST I BELEIVE IS THE END GAME ON THIS
I work for comcast and I just had someone from this company call my work phone with one of our customers trying to speak on behalf of the customer. Comcast is in no way affiliated with this company. I found this post while trying to look up the company myself. We do not sell numbers. I don't know what their agenda is, but comcast has nothing to do with it.
Sounds like Crapcast... oops I mean Comcast has contracted with some telemarketing firm to call all their cable customers and try to sell them their newest service... the VOIP or internet phone. Never mind that they charge over $20 a month more than Vonage after their introductory rate or free month goes away. I'm not recommending any company just stating facts.Vonage is no angel either but they are cheaper IF you want this service. The No-call list wont help you if you are a Crapcast customer because you have an established business relationship with them. You have to call, write or email Crapcast and ask to be put on their Internal Do-not-call list. I always tell these companies that if they continue to try to find ways to circumvent the Do-not-call laws by finding these loopholes that I will CANCEL my acct with them and never do business with them again and I will tell everyone I know to also not conduct business with them. Companies are stupid, they just want to do anything they can to get you to sign up for their service and once you do and they get your card number they will just charge and charge you and make it almost impossible to cancel your acct. You have to fight back. Number one is to not answer these calls and write them to make them stop. If they dont you can sue.
I simply called GCS back and they politely removed my number from their call list. No questions asked. It was that easy, I don't understand why people are crying about the calls. Grow up we are living in a world of commerce everyone has the right to the American dream.
I know someone who works @ GCS. They are all paid barely above minimum wage, have horrible schedules, have to work weekends, they do not offer no benefits of any sort, and employees are constantly threatened with termination. They have no incentive to retain customers or do well at their job. Mediocrity is rewarded. There is flagrant favoritism by the supervisors. Most of the employees are about 20 years old and obviously not too bright. There is only one functional restroom in the 3 buildings. After all the stories I have heard, I am amazed that GCS hasn't been sued by one of their employees yet.
These morons have been calling several times a day for a week. Twice I've answered the phone and got dead air, then a hang up. Thankfully, I found this site. I called them, the guy who picked up didn't even identify the company so I asked, he said yes, it was GCS. When I asked why they kept hanging up when I answered, the guy said 'the system thought you were an answering machine. Seems they must have a really cheesy system if it thinks ALL the people here with the same complaint are answering machines and not real people !!! What a crock! My numbers have been in the Federal Do Not Call list for several years, and I told him that. He said he was calling on behalf of Comcast - but THEY are NOT Comcast - I have no business relationship with GCS - and I'm ticked that Comcast is giving my phone number for telemarketing purposes. He said 'don't give Comcast your number' - well.. when you call Comcast, they use your phone number to ID your account and your address ! I think I'll go file a complaint with Comcast now.
Just called the guy (recommended on here by Lauren) at 619-251-3323, he answered and was very politeHe was wondering where I was located, which I didn't care to talk about, then asked me the # which I wanted off their list, then went on to entering? my phone number and knew my full name, thanks comcast! Finally, he told me that it looked like I was contacted for some comcast promotions and said that I will be removed from their list and that they will notify comcast as well, I believe him.By the way when I did receive a call from 719-546-6354, I always ignored it, but they called too often so I finally answered then a woman on the phone went on to ask me questions to "address my needs" wtf! Even though I said I wasn't interested once she started asking if I make long distance calls, she kept talking "if you don't mind I will ask you..." I said bye and hung upand then I found this site, thanks!
