Here is a new twist. Now since I have gotten this call, my call manager through Comcast, that allows me to block numbers, refuses to load. It shows errors send/don't send. No way to add this number or any other to the list. Timing huh.
The National Do Not Call Registry is useless against crap like this. It doesn't block calls from companies with which we've already initiated a business relationship, that's their loophole. Provided GCS honors the 'remove me' emails they seem to be up front about it. The problem is their getting solicited by our ISPs and phone companies to do their dirty laundry.
GCS calls with offers from Comcast. They do not request any personal data or payment information. I'll monitor my Comcast bill to see if there rates come through as promised.
