On February 22, 2012, I received a call from a woman named Kathy claiming to be from “The Real Yellow Pages” calling from 720-708-1000. She stated she was responding to a request to cancel our subscription. I verified the information that she was claiming to be canceling. She stated there would be a $500 cancellation charge. When I asked why there was a charge to cancel, she became rude and nasty so I hung up on her. She called back claiming to be another person (same Indian voice) and was responding to the cancellation that was started by her co-worker and I again, hung up.I received a call today from someone stating we had an overdue bill for $500. When I asked what this was in regards to, he played back a recording of ONLY PART OF THE CONVERSATION between myself and Kathy. When I stated what he was doing was fraudulent, he raised his voice, told me he would call back when I was ready to listen to him and hung up on me…..HOW CAN THIS BE LEGAL???? I recorded part of the conversation he played for me and it sounds pieced together??? Certainly not what I agreed to……who can I call regarding this fraud??
This number, they identified themselves as WAKA Corporation. Dont fall for it, it's a ! SCAM !
I contacted VoIP via e-mail and received a reply that this is not their number. Response from the contact follows: We have verified in our system and this number 7207081000 is not with us, in fact we don't have record of ever had the number with our company. Unfortunately this situation is beyond our control since the number has not any relation with us at all. Thank you for your comprehension. > > __> > VoIP.ms Customer Service
It was a recorded message saying it was from BancorpSouth; something like "your debit card is about to be reject. To reactivate, press 1". Naturally, I didn't press anything. After waiting for a few seconds waiting to see if someone might come on the line, the call went dead.
Not to be nosey but the same thing happened to me by a guy I was talking to from a dating website...wondering if they could possibly be the same person?

This number called asking to speak with my boss. When I told the caller he was not in he just hung up the phone without another word. This guy has called several times. Will not give you a chance to tell him to remove from calling list. I redialed back the number that called me and all I get is a recording that the number can not be completed as dialed, to please check the number and try again. SCAM - SCAM - SCAM
Since Monday we have been calls on our Do Not Call line. Initially the caller had such poor speaking English skills I thought they trying to solicit us. I informed them we were on the DNC list and not to call back. Then we started receiving calls every 4 or 5 min. I called our phone carrier (AT&T) to see what to do and after being on hold for 50 min. I gave up. The following day we again received calls and this time I called AT&T to suscribe to a Caller ID. I was on hold for 40 min. and finally called the Pub. Utility Comm. and they were aboe to get me through where I explained the problem and ordered the Caller ID. Now the calls came from UNKNOWN w. no number so I ignored them. Then I got a call from 936-162-1654, googling that I learned that it was a collection company in Texas. Since we have no debt and no one here named Debbie I ignored those calls too. The following day we got a call from 425-320-5012, Credit Debt SOL according to Google. After 6 phone calls in 4 hrs. I finally answered, explained the situation and they promised not to call anymore. Then we started calls from UNKNOWN (we have been getting those all day every day). This a.m. we got a call from 720-708-1000, again asking for Debbie. All callers appear to be from INDIA. Tried to report this to FTC on their website but a web address required for this and we do not have any. This is pretty awful. so note those phone numbers and do not answer and GOOD LUCK!
