I received repeated calls from this number on my cell phone throughout the day and evening of 04/16/2012. Because I didn't recognize the phone number, I didn't answer, so I don't know which particular scam they were promoting. I have registered my cell phone number with the Do Not Call list, so I shouldn't be getting these types of calls.

I also got scammed at the Pet Expo in Chantilly, thinking I was filling out a form to win money for pet supplies. Yes I filled out the form...but if I tell you when you call me that I didn't realize I was filling out info for a ski lodge and I don't want you to call me again....DON'T CALL! Leave me off your damn calling list. I will also be calling the police if they call me again.

Just called and said we won a travel voucher to a resort in Virginia asking for names and phone numbers. They knew our address. The so called co-ordinator hung up and never called back. I don't trust it.

received a call telling i won a drawing at Dairy Queen and the prize was a Disney stay and a gift card. Of course the caller was in a room full of telemarketers in the background and she insisted that i Put another person on the phone with me to except my gift/prize, I point blank asked three times if this was a time share sale pitch that had to be attended to receive the prize trip and she talked around my question suggesting i just need to put basically anybody on the phone who was to accompany me on the trip, so as to proceed. I declined and looked up on google the name of the company--no surprise

"Massanutten Resort Great Eastern Resort Corporation" calling with an area code 757 number (which is the southeastern part of Virginia, the resort in question is located in area code 540, these scammers couldn't even get their faked numbers right. They assume all Virginia numbers are either 703 or 757 because that's what they've seen in the movies. If you actually bother to call them back during business hours you're subjected to a long recording that asks you to leave a message or call back during business hours (no real message can be left).I live in Virginia and I answer numbers with VA area codes, when these guys called me and told me I had won a contest that I had entered based on an application I filled out at a Texas Road House (which I didn't do) and then said I had to pay $75 to "secure my spot" (obvious scam!). The sales guy called me back twice and left "EXTREMELY URGENT" voicemails (LOL).Don't trust anything these guys telling you. They're not associated with Massanutten Resort at all as far as I can tell. They're giving that resort a bad name.

You "won" at the gun show: Headphones, or an iPad, or a 40" tv, or $250 gift card. Must have wife on phone call to "activate" award. A little research indicates it is time share marketing. Run away, block the calls, and never fill out cards at gun shows.
