I have gotten a call from the same gentleman. It is pretty hard to understand him but what I can figure out with his message is... he's from HHC... he's looking to confirm a doctor no longer works at my number and to call back if I can give him an updated information. LOL one the number he was calling was for my person cell phone and two I am a stay at home mom that doesn't even work in an office. So looks to be some how they are using the HHC number to do scam calls. Be careful who you give information to people. Tell them to make a note in your file and call the number on the back or your card. Never give your info out if they call you!
Got a call from this number today. Caller ID says United HealthCare. I answered, but no one responded. Since this number has been calling people for years with the same Caller ID my impression is that it is ligit, albeit a sales call. For those who try to call the number back, but get a not a valid number message, or no response it may be because that's how large company phone systems are configured. When you "dial 9" for an outside line, the line your call goes out on won't have the same phone number as the incoming number (extension) of the phone you're calling from. It prevents telemarketers from being harassed as much as they harass us.
OptumRx customer service. I did not recognize the number so I did not answer the call. I called the number back and they said to call the number left on the message. They did leave a voicemail message. I called the number in the message and was able to verify it was OptumRx (mail order pharmacy). This was a valid call but nothing prohibits a scammer from using this number as a fake caller ID.
1/25 3:59p CID Minneapolis MN - several rings, disconnect, no msg - from above posts looks like telemarketer/scammer is at it again.
(763) 274-3899They left a message: "this is Bria from Specialty Pharmacy. Please call us back at 888-441-9827"
Left a message. Was from Briova Specialty Pharmacy, which is through UHC. It was regarding a pharmacy order
This is absolutely fraud. I called UHC to confirm, they have no record of this number and they will never call you asking for such information. CALL UHC AND REPORT IMMEDIATLY! They had my first/last name and knew I was with United. REPORT IT!
received a message to call my Script Co, call was legit, they gave me the number that is on my card
Yes, I guess the call is a legit call, but it is too bad they can't leave a message that a person could understand. Their call back number if not the same as the number they are calling from. The way she mumbled the call back number is unexcusable.
I just received a call from a party from "Briova Speciality Pharmacy", I confirmed they process specialty meds for Optum Rx (UHC). She knew my name, but immediately asked me for my date of birth and address to confirm an "Rx order", I do subscribe to UHC and do have mail orders filled thru Optum Rx.While the whole call seemed suspicious, it was legitimate, though lacking in security on their end; she would not tell me my referring physician's name or office, citing HIPAA. I called the number back, it dropped.I then received a call from my Dr office and they said they had just been contacted by Briova saying my specialized medication was not being processed until I confirmed its need with Briova.Long story short, I called Briova back thru my Dr's office and got the process authorized. What a struggle. I asked Briova to make their calls more clear. HIPAA does not disallow them from validating certain information, but to cold call a patient/me and just ask personal information is a sloppy way at best to conduct business. Call type was classified as an event reminder, though that's not really accurate. I was a legitimate Rx authorization from a subsidiary pharmacy who was unknown though legit to me...
