You cannot file bankruptcy on student loans, it's against the bankruptcy code.

Same here. My student loans are being paid on a regular basis now, but I can never get any information from these people. How much is left on the balance? What is my current interest rate? How much of the balance is other fees? etc. I don't see any logical reason for not providing me with this information. I can only imagine they are holding a grudge because my loans fell into default while I was unemployed years ago. They act like they don't have any record of my payments. Plus, my credit score is screwed up even though I have been paying on time for years. It's so irritating. The only real mistake I made in life was going to college. Never again!
