I got a call from that number on tuesday. I answered and said hello a few times and they just hung up.
The message said something to the effect of 'this is credit services, your apr can be lowered but this offer is soon approaching it's end date. Press 1 to take advantage of this offer, Press 2 to be disconnected.' When I pressed 1 a live guy answered saying 'hello, i hear you would like to lower your apr.' To which I responded 'What company is this?' And he hung up on me immediately. This number should be reported..very sketchy. When I tried to call the number back a minute later, it says the number has been disconnected. So they are just using that number to hide themselves.
No one replied when I answered the phone but the tape sound in background and click sounded like the telemarketing deal right before the automated voice should kick in.
April 23, 2008 at 10:30 AM. Still another number calling for no reason that I can imagine. I no longer have vm for my land line phone, so these bozos can ring, automated or not, til the cows have all jumped over the moon while reciting the US Bill of Rights.
caller claimed to be a credit card company wanting to reduce interest rates. Called twice within 20 minutes.
12:41 EDT today. Automated recording from "Heather" asking you to press one if you want your interest rate reduced on your "current" credit card account (no company name given). When I pressed 1 to see what was up, person asked me "are you requesting to lower your APR?". I said "I'm just answering your call" and he hung up.Same thing on 4/22 at 5:27 EDT from (305-392-9247) "Heather" again. This time after pressing 1, I asked "On what credit card?" She hung up immediately. We get this message on the maching from "Heather" about 3x/week when we're not home. Very sketchy.
Got a call from this number and I let my answering machine pick it up since I didn't know who it was. The message claimed I could win a trip to the bahamas or press 8 to stop recieving calls. I just let the machine finish out the message since I didn't want to press any numbers or pick up the phone. Who knows where it would lead me or what would happen should I "press*". I hate these types of calls. I think telemarketers should pay us to recieve these calls. jerks
I just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I googled the number and found these postings..so, whatever they are up to can't be good. I chose not to answer it! People, just because the phone rings does not mean you have to answer it. Protect yourself!
