Caller ID shows Marketing. A machine dialer with a recorded message saying that it was my last chance to lower my interest & so out of curiosity I pressed one as it prompted. A young lady answered "card services, were you calling to lower your interst" & I said "n,o I pressed one to find out what it was about". The she said "we may have called you because you have been making your payments on time, so we wanted to see if you wanted to lower your interest". I then asked who she was & her reply was "card services ma'am". I asked which card? & was told that it was my bank, then when I said which one, she said all of them. I said "this sounds like a scam & we are registered on the do not call site & to take my number off their list", at which she said "well then I guess I'll call you tomorrow" & hung up.
Recorded message from "Warranty Services" warning me that my auto warranty had expired or would soon expire despite their repeated notification letters. Press "1" to talk to a live person. I did and got someone in a very noisy phone center. I asked what auto they were calling about and he hung up.
Okay...all of you who "played" around with these fools better check your credit card and phone bills just to make sure an "extra" charge was NOT added. This number along with a host of numbers is playing a trick on you so that you can say "yes" to additional charges on any one of your bills. Pressing 2 doesn't get you off a list "for free"! And keeping them on the line to mess around with them comes with a price. Although they only ripped me off in the amount of $25 for UNauthorized charges for an 800 number, these folks will do anything for FREE money....the posting previously added are REAL...don't kid yourself!
"772-664-4005" I have received calls and prerecorded messages from this number many many dozens of times over the past year or two. Each time they have information about my credit cards and interest rates. I have never spoken to a live voice, perhaps I don't pick up fast enough. Over time I learned to hit the number two and the prerecorded voice tells me my number has bee taken off their rolls. Has my number been taken off their rolls? No it apparently hasn't. They will generally call back the next day. So, why do I continue to hit the number two? Who knows. Why did i write this memo? I just received one of their calls.
this number called me (as they've been doing) with a recording about lowering my credit card rates to 6%.and if i press 1, i would be connected to the person who would help me. so i pressed one, and got "Jose" - I proceeded to tell him to remove my number from their list. he took my # and then tried to pitch me their 6% thing. I asked what the name of the company is and he said "Card Services" --- I asked if there was more to the name and he said he didn't know.ridiculous.
Received a call on 4-29-08 at 10:55AM CDT. It was another one of those "Heather with Account Services" calls. I registered my phone# with the DNCL. But since these calls are made with autodialers I highly doubt the DNC won't be of any help.
They called me today so I decided to push #1 and told them "I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD SO TAKE ME OFF THE LIST.." Then she tells me " F*@% YOU B!%@&" and hangs up on me!! CAN WE GET AHOLD OF THE SUPERVISOR???? I tried to call back and it tells me "its been disconnected"....
