I received a call from 800-427-9428 they left a vm message and said she was Tina from Capital One fraud department regarding the fraud on my account. Asked me to call 800-215-1921 x2922594. I called the 800-215-1921 phone number got her vm and the her message said that I needed to leave my 16 digit account number, social security number, DOB, address and all sorts of personal information, needless to say, I left my name only. I called Capital One customer service, they checked my account and said that they did NOT call me and there are no notes regarding any fraud purchases or questions on my account. I gave her all the phone numbers they called from and asked me to call and she noted my account with that information. This is a scam!! Do not EVER give your information over the phone to ANYONE!!

received a call from 800 215-1921 they left a message saying to call x2918629 "this is Sierra with the Captial One's Fraud protection. it's fake. I called back and they requested I provide my ssn, dob or acct information! I was unable to speak with anyone.

Got a call from this # saying she was investigating my fraud complaint which was resolved 2 months ago. She said "this is Debbie from Cap 1" told me to call back @ 800-215-1921 x2918398. I called back to a recording and was told to leave my credit card #- I hung up. My fraud complaint was resolved the day it happend, they cancelled my card and reissued a new one. This is definitely a scam.

I recently filed a fraud report on my card and they called me back from this number saying I wil get a letter in the mail with additional info on what happened. You people are dumb. This really IS capital one.

It is capital one and they alerted me to fraud on my card. They helped me turn off the card and reset my accounts. Everything is fine this is a call you can accept. Today's call was to inform me that the case was now resolved. All charges were reversed as promised. I checked online and everything was back to normal.

I don't have any credit card from Capital One on the first place and I didn't claim for any thing recently, how could they notified that. It's ridiculous! I'd like to find out a real number to call, too, but didn't have a card...

False phone call from Capital One requesting more information about a disputed charge. I contacted Capital One via online and they showed no call going to me.

Let it go to voice mail. Said it was Kendall from Capital One regarding my recent fraud claim. He said that I will receive a letter in mail and no call back is needed. I actually did have a fraud issue with my Capital One card about a month ago so it does make me think that this may be a legit call.

This is legit. I had filed a fraud claim on my Capital One card and they were following up. They are fantastic!

***THIS IS A LEGIT CAP ONE PHONE NUMBER!!!**** I have received 2 calls in 2 weeks from this same 800-215-1921number. Miriam with Cap One fraud dept. I had previous issues with fraud on my acct, but have not used them for many mos. Called the real known Cap One number and they DID fine the 800#.....also the extension referenced IS LEGIT. Now that said, it does not mean someone else cannot spoof the number, so I would suggest always calling the real Cap One number and get to the fraud dept and they can find notes on your acct.
