Not a fraud number on Cap one website and have not used my card in months sooooo scam

Says the same as above, problem is have not used card in months, nor is there a balance or a pending transaction. Also the number calling from is not listed on Cap ones website, Fishy to me. Also dont have a fraud claim against a transaction either so rules that out too....

This absolutely is fraud, asking me for my full ssn and full credit card number, NOT TODAY,

Pretended to be capitol one - a scam. Not a capitol one phone number

800-215-1921 is a legit Capital One fraud department number. I received a voicemail message yesterday asking that I return a call to this number, I didn’t assume that it was legit, so I called the number on the back of my card. The first rep said that Capital One has so many callback numbers that she couldn’t necessarily confirm this particular number, so she transferred me to the fraud department. The rep in the fraud department with whom I spoke confirmed that it is a legit number and let me know the purpose of their call yesterday, wherein they requested I call back to discuss a recent fraud issue with my card. But, please do NOT believe anyone on these “is this number legit” sites. It’s always best to call the number on your card, statement, or the vendor’s website.

You’ll get a number on your phone 800-955-7070 which is the Cap1 number. However the caller wants you to callback using 800-215-1921. I just spoke with a customer service representative from Capital One and he said that Capital One fraud department NEVER calls, they send letter correspondence. He advised me to email Capital one's abuse system to inform them of what's going on with this number because he does not recognize it.
