Obviously they had a reason. So how was ADT supposed to know that the person was deceased if no one let them know? Most of the calls are because people don't do what they're supposed to do when it comes to keeping their information up-to-date.ADT will call (automated) if you have a low battery even though you've ordered one through them. There might be legal reasons for this? Keep aggravating the person until the battery gets installed to avoid ADT from being sued just because some lazy guy put off ordering/installing the battery and now wants to sue because some thug broke into his home and raped the daughter. You know how people like to blame others for thing that are clearly their own fault....*** Just like people who couldn't manage their own finances blamed the banks during the last housing/financial crises even though the conditions of a loan are spelled out to the Nth degree and plain black and white!Not saying that ADT is great, but businesses often have to do what they do because the general public is so trifling.

Confusing

I received call from (800) 238-2727 on my cell. I answered hello, there was a brief pause and then they hung up. Maybe it's not ADT, maybe it's a spammer who's spoofed their number.

Okay, it was ADT. They ran a test for someone I know, but the guy didn't put it in test mode so the cops and fire dept all got notified, as did I. I don't know why ADT didn't have the courtesy to say something when I answered the phone, it was the hang-up that annoyed me.

I don't know what is up Adt. I missed 2 calls about my alarm going off. only found out by security where I live.I called ADt I was told this how they're centers call. the F T C should require they have caller id.what kind of security do they provide, if they don;t have caller id

I got a phone call from ADT that they received a burglar alarm signal. I don't have ADT and refused to give them any of my information.

my friend has a new ADT system at his home. he used my name as a reference for credit purposes. now i get 1.800.238.2727 calls up the ying-yang. ADT = FAIL

Hmm if I could just get whomever who works at ADT to stop giving out my cell phone number as their return call number I'd be great.. funny part is I just got a 2nd line added on my verizon account and now ADT calls me nonstop on one line in error, and gives out my other line as their local call back number, I get wrong numbers from panicked customers several times per week.

I received a call saying they were from ADT and they were receiving a trouble signal. I don't have ADT service. The also said that they were trying to reach a Matthew McHill. Obviosly not me. You would think that as a security service, they would have their numbers straight.
