Hi everybody. I work for TXU and the way the dialing system works is they have numbers on a list. If you get a new number or if at some point in TXU's history they've had that number on file they will call asking to renew your contract or get back with them. If they do not hear an answer they will disposition the call as "no contact, no answer" and then it gets thrown back to the bottom of the list. We do not mean to call people deliberately, it's just the way the dialing system works. They only way I know how to stop the calls is to answer the phone, politely tell the representative that the number is wrong and you would like to be put on the Do Not Call list. Mind you it takes up to 30 days for the number to be completely out of the system. If that doesn't work then I don't know what will. Working for a call center has made me more apathetic for those calling people. They personally aren't doing it and they're just trying to work a job.

Freaking idiots called me at 11:43 thursday night. I have never used them and I've had the same number for 10 years. WTF are they thinking?

I'm finding that IF I shut off my voice mail when I see a number I don't recognize, they SOON stop calling. This is the first call I've received from this caller, but I see it's telemarketing so I sure won't answer it! Answering just assures them it IS a working number and they WILL continue calling. I'm ON the DNC list, but doesn't seem to work much in this day and age.

TXU - Legit call

TXU. They have called my cell phones 2 days in a row. I have an account with them, but they had no record of the call, and my cell phone is not the number that is associated with the account. I answered the 2nd time, and they were looking for someone else. The man's accent was so heavy, I could barely understand him, so I didn't learn much.

It Called around 3pm. After I picked up and spoke I got 30 seconds of dead air with faint crackling noise.Called it back to confirm. It is TXU the energy/electric company. A robo-voice answers.The live operators had difficulty determining why the automated/outgoing call was made

Glad I checked. Our land line phones don't audibly ring & messages go to my cell. Legit or not, wrong name & why should I fix it? It's a pain in the tush!

Got 2 calls early in the morning with no voicemail. My phone number is associated with an account that was sent to collections and they can not remove my number from the account without the account holders permission. Total BS
