The number is being spoofed. It looks legitimate but is a scammer. Called APPLE and was told to block the number. They are aware that scammers are using their number.

The number is being spoofed and used by scammers saying that my iCloud account has been compromised .. uh, I don't even have a smart phone much less iCloud .. duh !

Received a voicemail from this number and another earlier today from a spoofed Apple store. Recording was to call 8779732641 to "repair" my Apple device. Called using blocking and got an out of service mssg. Caller id was 800 Service. Number is now blocked, but don't know how many more numbers my poor Panasonic phone can accommodate (250 max)!

Robot lady left message twice in two days. “Your iCloud account has been breached. Press 1”. This scam to collect all of your info has been around for several years. Comes from China.

This is the number I called to have Apple send me a replacement Smart Keyboard. I got the new keyboard the next day. This is the legitimate Apple Support / Customer Service phone number.

They "phish" and/or "spoof" the number posing as Apple reps. Complete scam-----the 2nd similar one this week.INSTA-BLOCKED

They told me to go to the nearest grocery store and get a certificat apple security . I insisted he give me aconnect number. He hesitated and finally gave me1882087096 I got a Chinese post with about fifteen different numbers. Wierd Wierd wierd can't figure out whiy he woud insist I stay on line whileI went to a grocery to store??? What is his racket?? Can't figure out this request. He kept saying besure and Stay on line while you go to the store.The [***] kept sayin "Oh yes sir , yes sir I can helpyou tbecause their 7 people trying to hack into your computer right now.

This call came in just before 9:00 pm on Friday night. It identified as Applecare on my landline, but I did not answer. A female voicemail message said my system has been breached and not to initiate any activity, but press 1 to be connected to "help." I did not as I had already read that foreign scammers were using legitimate numbers to fool you into either giving them access to your computer or paying them. IF YOU DID NOT ARRANGE A SPECIFIC CALLBACK FROM APPLECARE, DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THESE CROOKS -- THEY ARE NOT FROM APPLE!

called--phone said Apple Care Team, push 1 to connect to Rep. I did & was informed my phone & Computer were having problems. After wasting 20 minutes of my time finally said he wanted $400 to clean up & 5 year warranty. I asked for his name& location-- said "Sam Spade from Calif." When I expressed doubt he emailed the Apple page showing it is an Apple # but on further checking he was from India & a scam. The number does look like Apple but they know how to use them.

We gave up on Apple when they gave up on us - but (800) 275-2273 APPLECARE still came in 5/19/18 - about noon. So, probably spoofed
