Due to all the blogs I've read here, it seems many assume it's ATT. My caller ID showed up with the string of those "V1201237...." blah, blah, blah, numbers and also toggled to this 800-288-2020 number. I don't have AT&T and I've never had them. I say it's a darn spoof. Don't these idiots have anything better to do in their lives? ... BLOCKED!
Caller ID read 800-288-2020 GTE. Just an annoying sales call. I have used AT&T for many years and never GTE.

Just got this one. Didn't bother to answer, and they didn't leave a message. Almost certainly scam based on a search for this number.
The caller is SPOOFING AT&T's customer service number. It is a SCAM. They are hoping to trick AT&T customers into revealing their account information.
This number has called here repeatedly and there is never anyone on the line, I wait to see if someone will be there eventually and the line just disconnects after a few seconds. Its an ATT number but whether its spoofed or not I don't know. It always sounds like an automated call with some buzzing and static in it.
Received 2 calls from this number; didn't answer either one. My caller ID just shows "out of area," and no message was left. If it is AT&T, I don't know why they'd call me, since I don't have AT&T. If it's a scam, which I think it is, I'll never answer.
OK... after their 3rd call today alone I finally got someone to speak... a woman with a strong mexican accent trying to sell me ATT's internet, tv, and phone bundle for what sounded like $800 a month or something.So all the hang-up and no-message calls I've been getting from them have been unrequested SALES calls.I wonder if they'll keep calling now that I've had the chance to tell them we aren't interested.

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
