This number has called my office multiple times a day for the past week. Each time, the caller leaves an automated voicemail that purports to be from AT&T, "with important information about your account." I have no idea whether this is real or a scam—or simply a promotion, as other posters have claimed—but I'm beyond irritated and wish these calls would stop.

Can you prove it? They all tell you they don't sell your information to outside companies. They hire so many people to sit by the phones and wait for someone to answer. Once you answer the phone that gives them more fuel (no pun intended) to keep calling.

So if they call your residence and you use their services, then you need to contact AT&T customer service and ask if they just called you regarding updating your account, a customer service survey, etc. But if for some reason they call your place of business and the company you work for doesn't use AT&T for internet, then i would be very concerned. Either way folks check things out, sitting here complaining that they keep calling you, you can put a stop to it.

i don't even have at&t, so why am i getting the call from them? I'm a call screener so i didn't answer, but they called my verizon phone.

I was trying to create an online account and it transferred me to this number, and showed no caller id so I hung up.

I just got a call from this number from some Indian guy asking me if I needed any technical help with any of my PC's.. It's 11:30PM.. I told him "Why the fu*k are you calling me at 11:30pm? He said, "So you don't need any technical help with any of your computers, I'd be happy to help. He never said he was from AT&T, he gave me some business name. I"m just now finding out it's at&t's number..
