Just got a Text Msg from 883-772 stating:"AT&T Free Msg: To confirm your U-verse appt arrival on 2012-12-07 between NOON-4:00pm, reply CONFIRM. To reschedule got to www.att-msg.com/uverse or call 1-800-288-2020"I reluctantly upgraded to u-verse a few weeks ago because they are "switching to a new technology" and I'd be dropped from service if I didn't.Already changed the hardware out 2wks ago on the appointed date &time for service change. Not sure what this crap is about. I'm not responding to it. Some ppl on here mentioned phishing. I tend to lean to that theory also.Good luck

2 class total was made. So called Tawny called saying our bill for Jan has been escalated. So a call is made regarding a bill that has been paid and up-to-date. Funny how no one knows who Tawny is or how to how to handle or situation. Knowing our account number and address. Sketchy as it seemed we went down to the nearest ATT outlet and reported the incident so that they're aware of what s happening. They advised us not to block that number never give out any of your information to anyone and that youh should ask them what they have for youh to verify this is a legit call also that ATT will never call goin on regards too a bill you will get an email or text msg regarding bill

A call from 1-800-288-2020 was automated with a message that is was a telemarketing attempt and to call 1-800-288-2020 with any question. I immediately called the number to be told that the office was closed and to call back during regular business hours, which it did not give.

My cell is through AT&T but not in my name. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.

Why is AT&T calling then not explaining why. It came up as ATT 1800-288-2020. Could hardly understand what was being said. WILLNOT to anyone that can't speak english.

Said they were AT&T, I've never used that company. "Problem with your account" seems like a big scam red flag

Called, no message left. Reading the other comments here, I believe AT&T has been spoofed by the Indians.

Don't have anything through AT&T, but they keep calling and hanging up when I answer.
