Never have been, never will be a DirectTV customer. I've asked them repeatedly to stop calling, they claim my number is an active account... liars. I cannot even afford cable tv, haven't had it or anything like it in years. No means no. Stop calling means exactly that. Unfortunately, I can do nothing about the calls but complain here.

I never had DTV. Always tell sales people I would not watch or pay for theevil Hollywood system. Turn on your brain and realize they keep telling the same jokes and stories over again with different clothes. Brain washing us. Turn off TV and turn on your mind. After you wake up you will see how bad it all is. They called me anyway.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I picked up and no one answered. I do have DirecTV, so maybe it was them.

Got a call from these clowns at 7:27 AM. Big violation of the commerce rules. Did not answer, no message left. Have never had contact with Direct TV. Perhaps a spoof?

I have received calls from this number also. When I called DTV, they told me it was not them making the calls. I was told "straight from the horse's mouth" that it was fraudulent.

Called so many time! Harassment!

Note - be leery of the phone number that shows up on CallerID. Callers are getting more sophisticated and can alter Caller ID to any number they chose. This morning I got a call for an offer of ~70% off if I would commit to 2 years and prepay for first 5 months. (Rare to hear of 5 month increment - typically quarterly - 3, 6 or 12.) I expressed interest, but indicated that I needed to check with my wife, and asked for number to call.They gave me a different number to call - 888-406-8918 and then select option 1 - not number on CallerID.I then called the main DirecTV number - 800-531-5000 (confirmed from correspondence and number on CallerID). I asked about prepay promotion offer, and support person indicated that DirectTV has no offers that require prepay. This also aligns with personnel getting DirecTV customer offers when they do not have DirecTV.After this experience, if we happen to be interested in any items presented on a random call, I will respond that need to confirm with spouse before acting, and request a number to call back. If receive a number different from that posted on Caller-ID, I will ask for an explanation.
