#rd call this year all with caller id of TOLL FREE NUMBER. Number is already blocked for me. Suspicious that 4 minutes later I get another spoofed call with a different number.

This is a scammer who is spoofing directv's 800 no. Beware!!

Frank from India, claimed Pittsburgh, PA, selling $99 bundles w/ Direct TV, AT & T phone/internet. "Direct TV" on caller id.

The AT & T services are crummy, too. Beware the Direct TV early termination fee and negative option billing - the FTC or FCC is suing D-TV over those abusive practices.

Scammers spoofing directv. Offer phony promo bundle too good to be true, say all you have to do is pay them 4 months up front via credit card. If you call their displayed # (800-531-1000), you'll connect with the real directv, who know nothing of this promo offer.

I do have a DirecTV account but they never call. They would really have no reason to unless there was something wrong with the account. I checked. Everything is in order. No "special promotions", either ,so I suspect this might be a spoof per previous posts in this thread.,

I received a call form this number this morning. I was out when the call came in so the answering machine picked up. The caller hung up without leaving a message.

I, too, have told comcast, direct tv, etc, etc that I am not interested and it hasn't stopped them from sending letters constantly wanting me to subscribe to their service. I had a very negative experience with this company and had to contact BBB and the FTC because they signed me up without my permission, even sent me bills. What a terrible company. Using 1800 number which is untraceable.
