Received call everyday, asked to be removed and was not interested. They will not take no for an answer.
I received a call from this number with the caller id Direct TV Main Nu. I didn't answer and the caller did not leave a message. I am not a Direct TV customer and have never been.
Automated call received whiile I was out and the system did not hang up so it caused my system to shut down and no incoming calls were able to come in until I reset my system
I'm very p***ed. I received a call from this number at 6:11AM this morning soliciting. I don't have DirectTV and will not get it! And can anyone help me understand the purpose of the 'Do Not Call' list? But you know if this is all the more problems I have today it's still going to be a good day.
I just received a call purportedly from this number. I did not pick up because I didn't recognize the number. After reading the previous reports I now suspect this number (as it appears on Caller ID) was hijacked by a scammer.
Just received a phone call from this number and found this site. I see a lot of people here who did actually have contact with them, and it confirms my suspicion that it was a scam. I doubt they'll be calling me again though, due to the content of my voicemail greeting. Something about making it clear that no calls from unknown numbers will be answered, all calls are logged, and fraudulent ones get reported to the FBI usually makes them move on to other, easier targets. Family members and friends aren't put off by the greeting, since phone scams are so rampant, it happens to them all the time too...so they understand. Other people that I have an actual business relationship with don't feel threatened by the greeting, because they are calling for a legitimate purpose. Seems to be a win-win so far.I'm going to weigh in on the Do Not Call Registry argument that seems to come up throughout this topic. Basically, what I gather from the "facts" posted is this: Charity organizations are exempt, political organizations are exempt, and scammers ignore the registry. So, after you eliminate those 3 categories, who else is left besides people that you actually want calling you? The answer is, there is nobody left...so it pretty much makes the "Registry" a pointless waste of time unless you want to waste more of your time pursuing a claim against somebody. Therefore, it does not work.
