1-800-555-1212Have received many calls from this magazine publishing company over the past few months. They are trying to "update" my credit card info and asked if I remember my expiration date and can verify my card number, I told the lady repeatedly that I was NOT going to provide that over the phone and she keep trying to control the conversation. She asked my address and if I can firm I am who I say I am and I said NO and she said, "okay, I will REPORT that then, thank you". And she said everything is being recorded for federal purposes. Trying to screw with my head because I clearly answered the phone with, "hello, this is (my name) can I help you?". DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING!!! SCAM!
I got a call from the 800-555-1212.I strongly believe it's a bunch of fraudsters, messing with folks...I live in Africa precisely Ghana. I know the internet can enable someone calling from even Java, seem like they're living in the states. Nigeria is well known in that department. I suggest people should be careful of giving out personal details to such numbers.
Did not leave any messages when called. When i did pick up, the person name was Manuel smith, but did not want to say what company they were from. This smith person said that something about renewing my magazine subscription. This smith person then said that if our phone connection disconnected that could lead to the magazine subscription being renewed, then right after he said that the phone disconnected and he has not called back since especially after calling for the last few days.
A guy calls me from this number and is always asking me for payment for magazines I never ordered. I NEVER would order magazines because I have NO time to read!! Another time the guy asked me if I wanted to extend my magazine subscription because it was about to expire. I think next time I'll just tell him I'm blind. Maybe he'll give up then.
I just got a call from 1-800-555-1212, they said they were the big publishing company above all the popular magazines out there. They said I was a preferred customer. The guy asked me to talk to his supervisor and tell her he was nice and curtious. He put me on hold and I hung up. They called back and the "supervisor" started asking a bunch of questions because they were "updating" their system, then asked for my banks routing number. I didn't give it to them, so the lady said they'd ship me all the info in a package.I believe it's a big scam. Don't give them any information, it's not legit. Then... I called back and it's a free information number like 411. Be careful!!!
this person has called me 2 times today asked my name and made kissing noises in the phone and also knew my last name who ever this is needs to stop. i work a night job i dont need stupid phone calls when i am sleeping because i am not a nice person when i am woke up. i will be contacting the police to investagate this matter and justice will be served.
I've been getting calls from 18005551212 for a few weeks now (at least twice a day), they were asking for my Brother who passed away in May. I said what i say to all spam calls. That person doesn't live here anymore, please take this number off your call list. It usually works, not with these people. They were trying to tell me that someone is stealing money from my brothers account at a credit union here in town. All of his accounts were closed out after he passed away.Big Scammers!!!! But they wont stop calling and it's getting ultra annoying!
the reason this numbers keeps calling its because they are useuing there computer to verify that your number is still in service for there logs and once this is verifyed they dont have it set to stop checking so it pranks you constanly. this is a probelm that they dont care to fix because its no bother to them and dont interfare with there doings so why fix it.
