Just tried to call again. They hang up as soon as the outgoing message plays. My husband called Wells Fargo yesterday after another phone call. Apparently someone has hijacked this number because the Wells Fargo rep said there was no record of an attempt to contact us. As someone mentioned earlier, it's the same thing with the bogus emails being written to look like they are offical and from a legitimate company.

After receiving numerous calls this week from this number I finally answered and she did identify herself as being from Wells Fargo. I am a WF customer and card holder. She started into her spiel about a card protection service before I cut her off. I have gone online and changed my privacy settings to not allow telephone solicitations.

Now I got this number again. Only there was no one there on the other end. Thats kinda wack.

I was just called today by this # and i was sleeping ahhh they were asking for me, I said oh shes not here right now like I always do hehe. Anyways the point is...they have no reason to be calling me. I do have an account with WF. OHHH I try to avoid saying words such as...yes, sure, ok, right, etc..haha, because they do hold against you. For example one time my mom said those words and next bill that comes was pretty whack. Just be careful people! Money floating in the air...

Good point, they *can* spoof caller ID's. However one time they did this in order to tell me I was past due on paying my Cr card bill (we were, had forgotten that month for some reason). Their method of getting in contact with me was really not helpful in avoiding the appearance of being scammed. We called WellsFargo separately using their listed number, in order to complain about their notification process, and also resolve the past due issue.
