I average 30 calls a month from this #. I have called the # (Master Card) & asked them to quit calling or I would report to police. I asked for supervisor but couldn't get one. I called Master Card & they say it's not them & that someone has hacked their #. I called Operator & they said Toll free # cannot be blocked. I am call tracing now & will forward a list to police. Only police can access info. from phone co. Even got call Good Friday I have tried everything & now don't answer but I have to go to another phone with call display. I am used to just answering phone. I tried answering & then leaving phone off hook for hours so they will have the cost & disconnected line but then I miss my calls. I even tried swearing at them but did no good. Very disruptive. Why don't they leave me alone. I have been woke up & sick in bed, etc.
I have been getting at least 2 calls a day from these people. Three times I've talked to them and told them to take me off of the list. Two people said no problem, obviously lying. The third one said that they had 40 offices and he couldn't do anything then he hung up on me. I have filed a complaint with the Missouri Attorney General and have put my name on the government no call list, AGAIN. I have got to the point where I let the answer machine pick up and I screen my calls.
I get approx. 30 calls/mon from this #. I have called back & they say it's Master Card & they want card #. I called Master Card & they say it's not them & that someone has hacked their #. I asked them not to call me again but they do. I asked for supervisor & they would not put me through. I told them I would contact police. I have tried answering & leaving phone off hook for hours so they have to pay costs but then I miss my calls. I have sworn at them. I called Operator & they say Toll Free #'s cannot be blocked. They suggest tracing & keeping a list to give police which I am now doing. They called yesterday - Good Friday. They have woke me up & disturbed me when I have been sick. Not all my landlines have call display so I have to get up, go look at the one that does & then not answer. It's very annoying. What part of "do not call me again" do they not get? I think Master Card should do something about this.
On June 10, 2009, I received a call from 866-458-9617 with the pre-recording that they want to lower my interest rate. When I was connected to a live agent I asked her to verify that it was a legitimate company; that they were in fact calling as an authorized agent of Visa. The agent got annoyed and asked me how I wanted her to verify it. She said she was calling from 800-847-2911. I told her I wouldn't give her any information unless I got more verification because I thought it might be a scam. She hung up on me. My guess is that it is indeed a scam. What credit card company actively tries to LOWER your interest rate, anyway?
Still going on today. I was a fool and gave them my info while my husband called the number from his phone and we were told this is a scam. I got all the way through to the last step where they wanted to charge one of my cards (preferably the one with the highest interest rate) $799.00 selling me on the notion that I wouldn't pay a "red penny" in the end. They would get paid off of the savings I get from letting them negotiate a reduced rate. It sounded way to fishy so I declined the "authorization to charge my card" and immediately called each of my credit card companies to cancel the card numbers and issue new cards. Anytime anyone asks you for information - it's a red flag.
Same basic story here.....I asked the caller for some information about her company. She said that after she gets my information to see if I qualify for low interest rates she could give me information about her company. I said I would prefer to know more about her company first. She said, "Let me ask my boss" (then she put me on hold). You guessed it, of course rather than actually putting me on hold, the line went dead about 10 seconds later.
at least once every few days I get the same recording and would hang up. Now I talk to someone that either hangs up on ME time and time again. Finally I was given a call back # 1 800 847 2911. Can we put them out of business already?
I have been getting calls for about 3-4 weeks from "Account Services". I was never home, so they left a message. I had been working with one of my creditors over a mistake on a bill, so I thought it was them. I had already fixed the problem, so I ignored it. Today, 7/16/2009, I was watching TV when they called. The line connection was so bad, I hung up. The woman called back (she had a foreign accent) and apologized. She then asked me to verify my name, which I did, and asked me the average % of my credit cards and the total amount I owed. I did give approximations on those. Nothing else. When I asked her about her company, she told me it was "Account Services" and that I have probably heard about the government wanting to have creditor lower %, but they weren't, so that's where they came in. I told her I didn't have the credit info available, so she agreed to call back Monday. I then looked the number up and was sent here.Has to be a scam. Scott
I asked for his las name and he said he could only give me his employee id number. then I asked for his company name and he just said card members services. when asked for what institution he could not give me an answer. I asked for a call back number and he gave me 1-800-847-2911. When I asked where his office was he hung up on me.
I work at a car dealer and they called asking for the last credit card # ran from our machine. I declined asking for there phone and was givin this 1-800-847-2911 where asked to speak to a manager. Recieved no manager after 20 minutes on hold. Why would they believe I'd give a phone or dollar amount ran out over phone. I believe this is a big scamm.
