I got these calls as well, but for me, they weren't even asking for the right person. I'm a minor, and could not possible have any business with chase anyways. Also, my family is not with chase, either. So this has really been irking me. The person who calls doesn't have an accent, like some say, but hangs up immediately when I say wrong number. It stopped about 3-4 weeks ago (mom chewed 'em out and they hung up in the middle of the lecture ^^), but it's started up again ('bout 3 days ago). Anyone know how to stop this?Oh, and I also got lots of calls from a similar number (800-849-9380) who sounded just like the other # and asked for the same person.Mom called back once (month or 2 ago), and they answered and said they were with Chase, so I dunno if it's really Chase or not
We have received numerous calls from this number on our cell phone but have never answered. They seem to call several times a week. From the postings I've read, this number is connected with a bank which we've never done business with.
I got the same this, but for a "Dave Henry"Try saving the number and giving it a "no ringer" I have that on my phone, if not, see if you can find a ringer with low volume.
You know that is a very good point. Why should you trust them to handle your payment when thay have limited or no current info on your account. I often thought about how to verify that the phone caller is who they say they are or company they work for, and youv'e given me a good idea. Wells Fargo does the same thing. I've gotten calls from their collection department after the payment was made, though it was late. So i asked why are you calling me if the payment was made, yes late but payment made, and she says they dont have access to your current account, and she took my word for it. But then I thought to myself, if you don't have any current info on me then how do you know I really made the payment. Hmmmmm. Thank you.
18008489380. Keeps calling my home. Day time, but including Sundays and Saturdays. They do not leave a massage, and do not even respond the few times I have picked up the phone. I am writting because the calling is very often now. Several times each day. Is there any way we can get back at this people?
Our payment is due the 4th. The grace period ends on the 19th... they call several times daily starting the 14th. I purposely keep my $4000 payment until last day so I earn interest rather than them earning it... so I schedule online payments to hit the 19th. I flat out tell them this every month, and ignore the rest of the calls... urgh have told them that as soon as my house sells we are closing all accounts with him, which is 3 checking (business) 1 credit card, 1 line of credit, 2 savings account/money markets, and our home equity loan, simply because they treat me like I am a criminal when I am never actually delinquent. I am DONE with chase, we have been with the same bank for 30 years, when it was TExas Commerce and was taken over by chase several years ago.. cant wait to drop their butts!
I received a new telephone number about 3 weeks ago from Vonage, since then I have been called at all hours from the people at the above number. They keep promising to remove my number but they woke me up again this morning. They even ask me if I know where the person that had my number before went or left me his old number. I am unsure who the person is they are tyring to reach as all these bill collectors do not use English as their 2nd or possibly 3rd language and I cannot understand very much of what they are saying.
I tried doing the loan modification yesterday, but was denied because my husband had to take a job (after being layed off) at a lower wage to make "ends meet". In the interim, our daughter had a stroke, and we spend incredulous amounts on medical bills. Its because of the medical bills, and my lost wages due to this that we were denied loan modification. We're current until the 16th of the month, and I wasnt even trying to get permanent loan modification, just trying to do something about this month, we're a bit short.Their answer was "liquidation". I said "but... we're current until the 16th and you want us to liquidate?" and I begged to talk to a supervisor because this guy that I was speaking with spoke very broken english. I got very upset, and then my phone died after being on the line over 2 hours. (most of it hold time)so, um, *60 is my best friend for right now. I wouldn't give anyone who called me my information anyway. Not to mention, everything is in my husbands name. They shouldn't be talking to me without his approval anyway. We have no other lines of credit than our mortgages, our cars are paid off, and they want to know how much we pay in "entertainment and clothes" in a month?!aaaagh. I'm just frustrated and anonymously venting lol
