I just got a call from them 5 minutes ago. He said he was a debt collector but that my account was fully paid (which it is). The guy had a very thick accent. I was instantly suspicious. He said he wanted to "confirm" some of my information because there had been computer problems at Chase. I didn't tell him anything and just hung up. I hope they can track down these people and put them away.
I believe, unless the number is occasionally spoofed, that this is a Chase agent (3rd party service provider), so in effect, it is Chase (again, it could potentially be spoofed from time to time, so be careful what information you give up). I found this notice on a statement for one of my Chase accounts: "Please be advised, when you provide your telephone contact information, including cell phone numbers, the bank will assume your express consent to contact you at this number, including but not limited to, autodialed calls and leaving pre-recorded messages. If you do not wish to be contacted at a certain number, please contact us to advise, and we will notate your account only to call you manually via a live representative or, at your request, remove that number from our system."Based on other feedback on this forum I am preparing a cease-and-desist and opt-out letter to Chase demanding a stop to all calls and cross sharing of my information within Chase and its affiliates (per privacy laws). Good luck out there.
Just started yesterday getting calls from this number. Last week I posted an ad trying to sell a boat and it had my cell number in it. Now I've already gotten about 10 calls in the last two days from this number and it is really pissing me off. I'm refuse to waste my time so much as entertaining whoever is on the other end. My mortgage payment has never been late and I highly doubt it is actually Chase calling. The part that pisses me off is that I have to keep checking my phone when it rings because it may be someone important, otherwise I will have to buy a phone app to completely block this call.
I am handling my son-in-law's mortgage with Chase. He is on active duty in the Army and is in Afganistan and the Army pays his mortgage. Chase seems to have neglected to tell them his mortgage went up and they are hounding me to "pay" the past due....Anyone know the Army's financial division's number????????????????????
Chase Home Finance, LLC have repeatedly turned us into collections for payments we have proof of making! The cashed checks were stamped with the DBA for Chase Home Finance, LLC! We are going to pay off out mortgage as soon as possible and end ANY association with them once and for all!
someone called, threatened and pushed for "a payment with late fee on phone" regarding a loan with Chase (that I have been paying faithfully). The caller is a female with heavy accent and talked in a very agressive manner. She attempted to get more information about me and won't get off the phone! I have to hang up on her.
This caller keeps on calling this house, and asking for a person. And it has been happening over 10 times so far. Why would Chase do such a thing?
I thought WAMU was bad but Chase's customer service has proven to be even worse. They called and called and when I was able to answer knowing it would be a lengthy conversation, the lady on the other end said she didn't know why she was calling and needed time to look it up! I couldn't believe it. She explained it was just auto dialing until someone picked up. I guess they are so shocked when someone actually answers they have to sort out why they wanted you in the first place. Then you go through 10 minutes of verifying you are really you. Ridiculous!
