It's a total scam! This is not a legit business and they are scamming for money - they are a third party outsourced scam organization and report them! Real legit TWC calls do not come in "unknown" that is a fact. They are scamming and need to be reported! Do hit trust them or anybody on these post telling you it's legit cause they are probably working for the scammers!
I get a call from this number all the time, and it is for my boyfriend's account, who works in the oilfield and when he asked me to get his account setup, I gave Time Warner his phone number as the account phone number, so somewhere they have their numbers crossed. I do not answer it.
I am headed to Texas tomorrow and just wanted to see if TWC could set up a NY cable service for me. The information they gave me was very accurate and I was very happy I led them in the right direction. However I don't think they should call me so much via a 800 number. That really sucks. I am on the do not call list!
I canceled my account in September when I moved out of state. Yesterday I started receiving these mysterious calls. Turns out it was Time Warner, whom I'm already fed up with on so many levels. Did I mention I'm not even a customer anymore? After four calls, I called the billing department, and talked to a woman who had never encountered this particular problem before. Yeah right! She verified that my account had been closed with zero balance. After being on hold while she figured out how to deal with it (you can't put a non-existent customer on the Do Not Call list), she told me she'd removed my phone number from their records of my previous account. Two hours later, two more calls. Now I've sent them an angry email demanding to know why I am receiving these calls still. For the meantime, I've discovered my phone's built-in Reject List... what a lifesaver! To Be Continued...
Time Warner always uses a 'Toll Free' 800 number when calling. My cable went off on July 12th. I called to report the outage. I chose the option for them to call me back when the service was restored. When I answered the phone it was an automated call informing me service had been restored. In the past I've also received calls from them to verify a service call.
There is a thunderstorm where I am at and our power went off last night. Today is our anniversary for Christ's sake. Have the basic courtesy to restore the service. They are too busy getting drunk and stuffing hot dogs in their mouth!!!! NO COURTESY!!! You cant change them you can only replace them.
