They have called several times, and I tried to call back.They wanted SIN number, sorry not going to happen.Send me a letter please and thank you.It sounds very suspicious---something is just not right here.
I would like to report a fraudulent call from the number 1 800 931 1026 on may 18/18 , someone represented themselves as Revenue Canada , and managed to get my address and birth date , Revenue Canada has been informed and my bank was informed of the fraud .
This number is a scam. Just got my affairs all in order and settled and signed off so I know I owe nothing . This is not CA. .they have the info ...they do not ask for such things over the phone. BEWARE!!
I had the same thing happen , even gave me a name and ID # , threatened me with a lot of money owing and" pay tomorrow or else jail time , etc and when I said " tell me anything about me cause you have all that info , they got pissed , rude and hung up , I actually called them back and they got even madder definetlley a scam
Big-Time Scammmmmmmmm! I have dealt with the Canada Revenue Agency many,many times over the past 20yrs. They always,"ALWAYS" leave a message with contact Name / Reference Number / Phone Ext# or Both,"PERIOD"If your naive enough to give your "Social Insurance Number" or "SIN#" or any other personal info over the dam phone. then "Pay for everything in cash" from now on !!!
Please verify your address, when I wouldn't and told her that the number that came up on my caller ID was the same number that the internet is advising as a scam number, she told me not to believe the internet and that if I login to my CRA account there is a file that says collections relating to line 180 on the income tax form, then abruptly stated that they'll sending me mail regarding this.
