This is a robo scam about lowering your credit card interest rates. However, the number displayed is the real number of Chase Card Services, so calling them back will not connect you with the scammers, but with Chase, who didn't actually make the call. The actual callers are in India.
Illegal phishing call (on National No-Call List); someone on other end took a deep breath just before I hung up on him. Need to buy a police whistle to blow their eardrums out for bothering me.
People need to understand that caller-ID info is EASILY "spoofed" - I could readily make it look like calls I make are coming from "US Govt." "Yo Mama Crib" or whatever I want it to say.Just because it says it is from them does not mean it really is.Few companies call out from the same number you would call in, & they NEVER ask you for your card number, etc.Never give any financial info to anyone who calls YOU!
March 7, 2018, 10:54 AM - hang up [credit card robocall] call from 800-945-2000 Unknown to my number on the national do not call list. I answered and said "Hello?" a couple times, but no one was on the line, and after a few seconds, it went to a busy signal.
In all seriousness, I would like to thank the Chase rep because I was about to call them and rip them a new one.
I kindly asked to be taken off of the call list and was promptly cussed at and yen humg up on.
