I get calls from this # about 10 times every day on my land line. I got so sick of hearing the phone ring on Saturday, I picked the phone up and hung it back up. Then, my cell phone started ringing with call from the dreaded number. I get to work this morning and the number shows up 7 times as a missed call. No messages. I too don't have anything from GE or American Outfitter's or whatever. On Saturday, there was a message that was left, by what sounded like a drunk man, I couldn't understand a single word he said.
This phone number, 800-945-6596 has been calling my work number multiple times a day and 6 times on Sunday, 4 times on Saturday and everyday since... I don't have any account with GE or American Outfitters and I DON'T have any late bills... Plus I never give out my work number, so who is this calling and WHY are they calling so many times a day. Isn't this harrassment of some sort???
This is used by PayPal as well. I forgot a payment and it is GE Capital for PayPal. Hope this helps.
Even you are a billionaire you still get these spam calls asking for some name you never know in your whole life.
it doesn't have to be. It could be the previous owners of your phone number, or even a random phone number they just got wrong.As long as it's not on your credit report, it's not yours.
Or even they are just asking for another person with similar name with yours. They may try to catch you by yellow pages LOL.
Multiple calls, no message or a recording saying to stay on the line for an important call
Have received numerous calls from this "blocked number- GE Capitol Corp". Can't find any info on them as I believe the name to be bogus. GE has a Capital credit service that is different than the one calling.The message is always the same- not directed at any specific person and is supposedly regarding American Eagle credit. I do not have a credit card with AE.Don't give these people your social security number- no company uses that as the only way to verify your identity. These people are identity thieves preying on the trusting.

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
