We have gotten several calls from this number. There seems to be one or the other of two people who consistenely call. They say they are from Capital One and that we are delinquent on our payments. We have no account with Capital One and have said that to them. They claim that the matter will be transferred to their fraud department, and then we get called on a subsequent day as if no conversation had ever taken place. Now we ignor the calls, but have taken measures of protection. We have contacted the three credit bureaus and had a fraud alert placed on our credit report. Also, we contaced the fraud dept. of Capital One by mail to inquire about the situation.

I have the same problem. The call every day and never leave a message. They have even called at 9:00 at night before!

We received a calls from 800-955-6600 5 -10 times a day in my office. If we answer with our office gretting (Thank you for calling....) they will hang up on us. If we just say hello we get to talk to someone. I have told them more that once that they keep hanging up on us & they tell me there is nothing they can do & that it doesn't "really" hang up. BS!. They have told me it is in regards to our office credit card we have with Capital One. I have checked with the Owner & Accountant. We have NOTHING with Capital One. We are now just hanging up on them. If anyone knows how to stop this please tell me, we are going crazy!

YOU SIGNED THE CARDHOLDER AGREEMENT PEOPLE! IF YOU DO NOT PAY BACK CREDIT CARD COMPANIES THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO HIT YOU WITH FEES THAT YOU AGREED TO. PAY YOUR DEBTS. DON'T BUY WHAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD. IF YOU BUY GAS AND USE YOUR CAP1 VISA AND DON'T PAY THEM FOR IT YOU STOLE THAT GASOLINE.THIS IS WHY THE ECONOMY IS BAD, DEADBEATS.

Got a call from Capital One stating they had received my correspondence to stop calling...however, this number is still calling. Now they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Laws

Capital 1 would have hired a collections company if the debt is over 120 days past do. That's why they don't know about the calls.Pay your bills like the guy above said.

What if the bills are paid or you have no CC # with Cap 1? If you read the posts, people, like me, who have no Cap 1 account are getting calls. Why be an A$$ to people and make posts such are yours? Wow, what an A-Hole.

They called me before 8:00am, which is against the fair credit act.

1-800-955-6600 has been calling my cell phone # several times per day for about 2 weeks now...I get alot of calls for a "Troy or Trina" who may have had my cell # at one time, and they get alot of calls from internet sites they signed up for. I am figuring that they are the recipients of these calls from that 1-800-955-6600, but either way it's really annoying, and they never leave a message identifying themselves.
