Dont be a dead beat..... Pay your bills you wont get a phone call from us anymore... Thanks
I received a call from this number today at my home. The female left a message claiming she was from Capital One Fraud Dept. I do owe Capital One money and I am past due, I just hope they don't plan on claiming that being behind on a credit card payment is somehow fraudulent.
I've tried to be a responsible bill payer by using a credit consolidation company since I've lost my job. The credit consolidation company pays them every month(via my monthy payments to them) based on the program Capital One agreed upon. I've advised them of this several times and asked them not to call me anymore but to call the consolidation company. They continue to call up to 9 pm each night.
Actually there are many reasons why the economy is bad, consumers do bear some of the responsibility but only a small portion. The position I am in now is that I either pay credit cards or I pay for my house, which do you think I will choose? Which would you choose if you were in that situation? It is obvious that you either work for this collection agency or another, they are all the same. It must be fun harassing people for $8/hr, and knowing that if you don't collect you won't have a job either. Then how would you pay your bills. I have made a decision that I will never pay a collection agency a dime, I will pay the original creditor if they still hold the debt, I will not support the collection agencies. Regardless if I pay it or not, once it is charged off on my credit report it will stay that way for 7 years, if I pay it off after 5 years, it will remain on for another 7 years. Remember people that negative information will remain on you report for 7 years after that last activity, payments are activity, think about paying these old debts, it may be to your advantage if they are very old to not pay them. It all depends on the age of the debt and the state of your credit.
Calls from this number never leave a message. If it were important, shouldn't they leave amessage?
The number is from capitalone. THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY. MONEY TALKS, THEY ARE INHUMAN AND DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. When my husband lost his job and I was working 1 full time teaching job and 3 part time jobs. I fell behind in our bills trying to support us both. I called and explained to Capital One that I can't afford to pay them more then $200 a month and that my minimum payment was $1,500. The late fees and finance charges where $300-$500 a month, so I could never pay the balance of what I owed unless they stoped charging me all of these extra fees. I explained that I wanted to pay them what I charged on the card but I couldn't keep up with the constant raise in price. Especially since it had been 9 months since I had charged anything and yet the balance was increasing by leaps and bounds on a card I wasn't using. They said unless if could come up with a $1,500 payment in 5 days they would not be able to lower the fees. Obviously I couldn't come up with the money so I called a lawyer. The credit card company refused to work with me and a credit card balance of $2,500 worth of charges ended up being $10,000 worth of debt! No hassel my foot! All hassel, no help! Now I am paying a Lawyer too!
