I've been getting calls from this number about every two days for weeks. Noone there when I answer and dead air when I respond. Don't have a clue.

I think this might be a robocall, especially for the upcoming elections. Got one from another number with a string of 0's in the CallerID.

called this number back,a recording comes on states this is not an active number

calls come in from 801-943-0000 and no one there when I answer...several calls a day and I am on the do not call list??? Extremely annoying!

2 calls in one day combined with 5 calls in one day from 000-000-0000. Unacceptable. These numbers need to be reported to the AG. I will not answer a call from a number I do not know. Neither of these numbers will leave a VM with information regarding their call.

I don't think this is a research company. I had this number call me too and I asked someone about it. Apparently you can use a computer to tap into phone lines, find unlisted numbers to call and all kinds of other info. When you try to call back of course it's going to say it's disconnected!They can also use a head set to talk to you.

Everytime I answer the phone the caller hangs up. I then try ti call the same number back and I get a recording the the person or number is incorrect or no longer in service

Those are the exact same numbers that called me. Like I said, someone had to have tapped into the phone lines through the internet. They can find out all kinds of information about you online, so they'll know stuff about you when they call and they can use a head set to talk.
