Thank for everyone posting about this number. I just got the call on my cell and I've never used craigslist so I'm sure it's not that. They probably just call random numbers trying to find someone dumb enough to fall for their scam and give their cc info.
yeah my unknown call came in at 3:07 don't no who it was it was in spanish n the number was (802)949-8989 id still like to no whats going on
off shore scammer most likely. Do not call list is worthless as they operate with impunity. Best thing is, if you have a cell phone, save the number in your contact list and assign a ring tone of MUTE to that number. When they call, you'll never know it. Works with my Blackberry.
I also received a call from this number, sent it to voice mail, I have Verizon, and have never posted anything on Craigslist

bit coin scam email gave this number.. ( fake paypal ) phishing and bank theft suspected.
Suspicious because name came up instead of number. Name read Fraud/Possible Fraud. Once blocked it showed number.
