As a telemarketer, you obviously are not a lawyer and from what you wrote, are not familiar with Federal law govering this subject under the TCPA. For this I will asume that you are conducting surveys and not subject to the Do Not Call List. However, your auto dialer system is calling people and disconnecting when the call is answered (see the 46 pages pf posts here). These are vioations of the TCPA, irrespective of wheher you are conducting surveys or whether the people you are calling are on the Do Not Call List.These being violations, the FCC is responible for prosecution. Hence, what people can and should do is file a 1088 Complaint with the FCC. This can be simply done online on the FCC's website.Other violations which can be reported to the FCC include all those people who requested to be put on your company specific do not call list, and you continue to call. I get a lot of calls I try to be as rude as possible to these scumbags I try to hurt your feelings and have no remorse about it.If you work for this place screw you get a real job.

This number calls me almost everyday. Once when I called back I got a recorded message asking if I wanted to be removed from their list. I entered my number when prompted. For a week no they didn't call again. Then today they called. I tried to call back again but it was busy several times, then it just rang and rang and no one picked up. How can we make this stop?

I just received a call from 813-899-1569 and they asked for my husband and when I asked who was calling please, they hung up. I called the number posted above 813-988-5941 and the lady was very nice. She said they are not suppose to do that, give me your number and I will have your number removed and I do apologize for that call.

The DNC is a government program, do you really think you'll get some sort of satisfaction?

Called this morning at 8:15am. Good thing I have Phone Tray! This number goes into Phone Tray now and my phone will never ring again from these varmints.

Woman called our office asking to speak with the boss by name. When told he doesn't work in the office, he works on the road, and asked her if I could help her, she said, "That's fine. Thank you." and disconnected. Caller ID showed "L&J Bay Area Ho--" I suspect it's some investment crap. For those of you who claim the DNC list does not work, you're wrong. It does work for most legitimate companies. However, scammers and spammers, especially those who spoof numbers, don't care about complying with the law. Many of the calls we receive on our DNC listed phones are not legitimate or, at least, "companies" that are not quite on the level. You can't blame the government for the scam artists who break the law. That's just absurd. Plus, there are some semi-legit companies who skirt the law by pretending to do surveys and such. Again, you can't blame the government for that. That's a company making that choice. DNC does not apply to non-profits, or companies you do business with or contacted (unless you specifically request they (and their partners) don't contact you.) If you're a business, the DNC list does not protect you from nuisance calls. As for calling the number back verifying it's a legitimate number, I really don't think it matters with autodialers these days. My private phone has a call-blocker that disconnects a black-listed number on the second ring and I've still had the same people calling over and over again, even though I didn't call the number back.

Someone from the number 1-8134638903 called me and asked my name and when I said it is me.. The guy said his name as Steve jhonson and said that I am on emergency call lst of a person name Earl Watson.. My first reaction is to say that I dont know that person.. then I asked back whats wrong.. because I thought, may be I know this person somehow.. whether i am making a mistake by being hasty.. may be someone needs me.. but this Steve guy was so complascent and rude.. I figured it was a hoax and grunted and he was more rude so I did say Stupid ( Sorry) then hung up.. then I get to thinking of my misbehavior and thought I shd help someone to figure out the real emergency person.. if it is not a hoax so I called back and the guy was Utterey RUDE ..
