Got a similar call from Paul at the Better Valley Golf Club. I guess it's right across the street from the Worse Valley Golf Club.

This is one of many numbers used by Benchcraft advertising agency. I made the mistake of doing business with this shady company once before. They print course guides for golf courses and use extremely high-pressure sales tactics to try to sell you on as much as they can. I made the mistake of agreeing to one of their advertising deals and I spent months getting calls from them attempting to sell me on more products, and once they even tried to get me to authorize payment on a contract that I had never even discussed with them. Horrible company to work with; don't ever give them your business! They have offices all over the country and none of them seem to talk to each other, so even when I told one sales rep to take me off their calling list, within days I was getting calls from one of their other offices. Don't waste your time with this terrible company.

They left a message on my cell VM, something to the effect of "Hello this is Matthew Miller, Butternut (? mumble) Golf Club. We have a project you would perfect for..." I'm a self employed Graphic Designer, so I thought it could be legit, but was suspicious because the area code was unfamiliar. Looks like it it's some kind of scam. I didn't call back.

Received a call from them representing golf guides to Timacuan Golf Club, this dog bit me once. Called Timacuan, of course, they have a cease and desist that is utterly being ignored. They've also called saying they were Lake Brantley High School, also verified with them that it was a scam. And, Winter Park Golf Course. Beware, they do actually print, but they are free to the public and most golf courses throw them out.

Caller stated his name was Josh Trace and he was calling on behalf of Pennsylvania Run Golf Course and was looking for sponsorship.

It is one of a group of companies that sell advertising in golf course guides in your regional golf course. I went to the golf course in question and it is a legit operation (although before you cut a check for this kind of endeavor, I would still double check with the destined golf course) and exposes your company to your local community. These companies print these guides for the golf courses at a minimum price, but profit by selling advertising to local businesses. They can be annoying and/or persistent. If you are not interested just ask them to remove you from their call base.

Got a call from Morgan from the local golf course in town and wanted to sell me an opportunity for our business to be a season sponsor. I actually called said golf course and inquired if they are using a third party to sell or represent them.. a big NO. Did not call them back as obvious scam.

Pretends to be a customer. Block and don't return phone calls.
