Received a call from 815-380-9673 on my work phone, which I don't give out...asking me to verify my home address. Because they didn't know which was one correct. I told them I wasn't giving them any information and hung up.
I received a call at work from a lady asking me my name and verifying my address and I said don't call me at work , I verified everything and gave my cell number so I wouldn't get a call at work.
This Verfacts called my place of business. They asked about an employee job verification of job, I confirmed it than they wanted more information. I refused to give out pesonel information over the phone. They aske dif they could send a fax and have me fill it out. I said they could send it but I will decide if and when to send it back.. Don't think I will, I do not like the sounds of this organization.
Left a voicemail on my business line asking to verify employment. I returned the call which immediately went to voicemail - the greeting simply said "Ruby".Sounds strange to me.
My employer gave me the name & number from caller ID, of a man who called to verify my employment there. As I have gone through one case of personal identification theft already I inquired on the phone call. I called the number, a woman answered & had no idea who I was a why someone would call from her # to verify my employment. when I mentioned that a man named Darren had called me she said that was her husband, when her husband got on the phone he immediately started yelling at me and telling me never to call this number again, I told them I was inquiring on who was calling from this number because whoever called from this number called my place of employment and tried to verify my employment today, but he hung up on me. I've done some research on this phone number and it says that it is CompuLAN COM PUL AN systems in Lakewood Colorado but when I spoke with the woman on the phone she told me they lived in California, this makes me very nervous as to what type of business these people are running. Also when I was speaking to the woman and told her that I had googled her phone number and computer systems IT website showed up, she had no idea what I was speaking of but it Just made a bunch of red flags go up that he would not answer any questions. Please research this company and verify its legitimacy, I would hate to go through identity theft again. Thank you. This is the name and number that called to verify my employment- Darin Childers (303) 522-8042
They just called my work trying to verify my birthdate and other information with a colleague. She said she wasn't human resources, put them on hold and came into my office to tell me. I refused to give any information and said all my creditors already had my current information and with all the identity theft and fraud going on I refused to give any information. She stated in a snooty voice that she would make a note that I refused to provide any information. After reading through posts here I will report them to the AG listed in one posting.
1-815-380-9678 called my sister asking about my business which she is not even connected to this business. I have no idea how they got her number. They wouldn't give her any other information.
These people claim to be verifying data for other companies. They are doing that for collection purposes. This is how they describe themselves: "VeriFacts is providing location services for a company you already do business with. This company has provided us permission to confirm your residential address or employment information." So basically the original company you did business with can't reach you, so they outsourced your account to them. They call you, your employer, and any other person under the sun to find you, so they can get their money for the company. Verifacts calls from so many numbers, you will need to block the 815 area code to maybe get them all. Better yet, just don't answer. You know when they are calling on a "recorded line" there is something fishy going on.
