received many calls from this number, called the number back and discovered that Home Depot had not processed a recent payment. asked to have my number removed from their call list.

Got a bunch of calls from them. left me numerous messages to call and "verify" my account. Put on hold when I tried calling (thinking its a scam) and switches back and forth. Finally today got thru and they wanted all sorts of personal info and my acct number. BOGUS all the way

I have a Citibank account in good standing. After getting 4-5 calls a day from this number for the last few weeks, I emailed Citibank and demanded they stop or I will close my account.This is their reply: "As you requested, we have processed your privacy choices. Please allow 30 days for these choices to become effective."I don't know why it would take 30 days! If they do not follow through I will post again.

This phone number showed up on my caller ID. Asking for my checking account number. Claiming that she's from Citibank. I have not missed payment, yet she wants my checking account number...When I asked for call back number, she gave 866-680-8628. She was a little upset when I told her I will not provide her with my checking account information. Thankfully I did not give her my information. Someone from Discover Card is doing the same thing. I don't even have Discorver card.

I looked at this post and decided to answer the 2nd call of the day. It was someone who was supposedly calling on behalf of Home Depot for my Citibank account. Said I had a $100 credit and I could get it over the phone if I just gave them some info. I told them to take me off their list and that I was not interested. Then hung up. Seemed like a total phishing scam although they did know my name and that I had a Home Depot account. Beware!

It cannot be from Home Depot because they are calling me and I don't have an account with Home Depot. They call every day and leave a recorded message that says visit payment.citi....it'S A PHISHING expedition.

I get calls from this # incessantly. I answer and there is never anyone on the other end. I blocked the # and next day get calls from a dif # that I tried to block and phone says it’s already blocked ? Citicorp told me if it WAS them calling, a person would have been on the other end and they would have left a message. I believe it’s a scam.... people fishing for information. Don’t tell them ANYTHING! If they call and there is actually another person on the other end. And if they call on a line you use for work.... report them.

So, this number is a Citibank call center number...but it is. Wing spoofed as well by scammers and phishing. Citibank brands cover Home Depot, Best Buy and a few others. If you get a call like this one, it is best to not answer questions until you call Citibank customer service directly and resolve your issues with the security department if you feel you are being targeted for SCAMS
