I have received several phone calls from numbers stating that I have been named in a legal suit and also I have legal action taken against me and to contact me immediately to clarify this matter and that there's no need to contact my attorney how stupid you think I am so beware of these types of new fraudulent phone calls coming to your phone if this was really a matter then you would get unofficial letter in the mail from the city state or county or government who isnaming you in the suit so please be aware

Just got a call frm lady with Indian accent. Stated she is frm dept of legal affairs. Some lawsuit.. Of course it sounded bogus. Just took her ph no. And didn't give her any info.

I received a voicemail message from this number stating that I have been named in a enforcement suit by the US Treasury and also I have legal action taken against me and to contact me immediately to clarify this matter and that there's no need to contact my attorney. Said his name was Allen Clark. (The caller ALLEN CLARK was heavily accented!!) I called to hear what the b&&%% was. He tries to tell me he's from the US Treasury. Really!! Calling from Glendale!! I ask where is my official letter stating the enforcement action being processed against me. Oh he said you didn't get a letter? He said oh like me put you through to my supervisor so he can explain the situation. Really!! I ask why are you calling me from Glendale, where is there an Treasury Office in Glendale, he said he was calling from VAN NUYS. I said no you're not your calling from GLENDALE and where is there a treasury office in GLENDALE! He hangs up on me. How stupid do you think I am. If this was a real matter then you would get a letter in the mail from the city, state or county or government agency who is naming you in a suit so please be aware.

I, too, just got the same, exact call that "Ramona" above did, stating that he was from the Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury. He, too, stated his name as Allen Clark, with a heavy Indian or Pakistani accent. DO NOT call back!

I just received a message from a "Mark Johnson" from the "Legal Dept of the US Treasury" warming me that legal action was being brought against me regarding a debt. Same M.O., same heavy Indian or Pakistani accent, same inability to speak clearly, same vague threats.Just called them back and got hung up on! Now the number is a constant busy or phone off the hook signal.Does this really ever work on unsuspecting people??!!

Some guy said he was calling from the US Treasury. Said his name is Officer Stephen Mc Donald, employee number is 835110. Told me that I owed taxes from 2012. I asked him why I did not receive any letters, he said that they sent letters out to me. I told him to get lost. He told me that federal agents were coming to my house in 45 minutes to arrest me.

Did they show up on time? Or did they need to catch a flight from Pakistan? Lol, How stupid do they think we are.

Just got similar call and left similar message saying they were from Dept of Legal Affairs and that I was named in legal action. Called back and it went straight to a message machine, that just had a short, "leave a message" announcement.

forgot to mention that they used the name Michael Stamp when they called me, of which I have looked up and he is an actual lawyer in Northern Virginia. Like the other calls heavy accent and no ability to pronounce normal English names properly, led to my initial suspicion.

Just got a call from a guy named Nick Clock, Indian accent from legal affairs. Please call back right away.
