Just curious how I never used to get these annoying calls- now it's only one call once in a blue moon, every couple months- not really annoying but sure would be if it were any more! Wonder how it all got started- they aren't making any money off of me!
I have had these SOB''s were calling me all hours at leat 3 times a day and I have let them know my lawyers number but they keep calling so I got me a small personal alarm from a dollar store and it has a high pitch ring (verry anoying) and when they call now and identify themselves I let it rip ....they now only call about once a week....LOL
This number is for Portfolio Recovery Assoc. They buy old dept and often have no way to know if it legitimate or not. Most of what they buy is well past the time limit to file a law suit. What they will do is start a "phone campaign" (there words from sec filing) against you and call you every day (or more) in the hope that you will just give up and send them money. Do not be fooled; these people do not send any money back to the bank they collect. Further you may LOWER your credit score if you send them even a dime as you then re-start any old dept.Check your credit report and see if you are past the SOA for legal action. If so send them a cease and desist letter. DO NOT answer there calls. They will ask for personal information to confirm any debts. Stay off the phone with these con men.
What good is the Government "Don't Call List", when it looks like the Government is selling lists. Ever since I signed up for the "Don't Call List", i have been getting nothing but scam callers.

Portfolio Recovery - a person IDing herself as Colleen stated she was with Portfolio Recovery. Information mailed to our home was for a debt paid almost 10 years ago. This is not the first time this company has tried to collect debt they were not owed.

Comes up in my phone as a medical clinic, but when I called them they're some business that supposedly works with Medicare? I'm too young for medicare. Scam call.
Sounds like a potential call center scam.
Said they were from Bank of America calling me about a fraud alert on my account. When I told them I do not have an account with B o A - they hung up on me. Ironic!
They said it's a business call from northern light. Not real and clearly spam. Northern light must have its phone numbers data leaked.
Called today and left no message. No caller ID, so I did not pick up the call.
